Holiday Heartache for 1 in 4 Couples as Fears New ‘Roam Like Home’ Data Roaming Law Could Fuel Social Media Addictions

The new ‘Roam Like Home’ law, which bans mobile phone providers from charging for EU data roaming, is part of continued efforts to establish a Digital Single Market in the European Union. The law was passed on 15th June, meaning that 1,151 million EU smartphone users have greater access to data whilst abroad. But could this lead to over-usage and potential heartbreak for families this summer? According to new survey results from London-based Family law firm, Brookman, social media stress has replaced work-life worries for 1 in 4 couples on family holidays.
