Barnardo’s believes in children regardless of their circumstances, gender, race, disability or behaviour. Our purpose as a charity today is to transform the lives of the UK’s most vulnerable children
We believe in the abused, the most vulnerable, the forgotten and the neglected. We will support them, stand up for them and bring out the best in each and every child.
We do this because we believe that every child deserves the best start in life and the chance to fulfil their potential.
We use the knowledge gained from our direct work with children to campaign for better childcare policy and to champion the rights of every child.
With the right help, committed support and a little belief, even the most vulnerable children can turn their lives around. Barnardo’s is regulated by the Charity Commission. Being a registered charity means that we must always be accountable and transparent.

Over years we raised more than £200.000 during our events and activities. And just in 2019 we overtook our goal and donated £23.000.
Thanks to everyone for supporting this cause and please help us to exceed our target again of £20,000 at our awards events during 2020.

Barnardo’s is the largest provider of child sexual exploitation (CSE) support in the UK. We have worked with sexually exploited children and young people for more than 20 years, and have specialist services in over 40 locations. Our vision is that no child should be affected by sexual exploitation, but more children than ever before need us. ‘Barnardo’s helped me realise what was happening, and then they helped me escape. The worker helped me mend the broken relationship with my mum and get the whole family back on track’

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
We have set a target of £20,000 in 2019 which would provide 200 1-1 counselling sessions in specialist services throughout the uk to help children who have been victims of sexual exploitation deal with the trauma they have experienced. Giving these children a chance to move forward, regain their self esteem and get their life back.
How we protect Barnardo’s runs projects across the country supporting children, young people and families where abuse has happened. We are the largest provider of child sexual exploitation support in the UK. Help us protect sexually exploited and abused children.
How we support We give flexible support to vulnerable children facing a range of difficulties, like a family member with a disability. Help us support disadvantaged families.
How we nurture We provide early support to families because prevention is better than cure. What we learn from children early on helps us identify wider issues and how to tackle them. Help us nurture struggling young families.
